Do not disclose any information about a student whether personal or related to their academic progress with any parties.
Do not discuss a student with any third party.
Do not ask for any personal information from the student including but not limited to their family background, contact information, school/home address, etc.
Do not ask any academic or non-academic information from the student that is not necessary for you to conduct your course.
Recording of live sessions is done by SplashLearn with consent from parents for internal use only, tutors are not permitted to make recordings of any kind of their own without consent from parents and SplashLearn.
Do not store any data related to the children (feedback, videos, or anything else) once the course with them is over.
Please understand that each student may have different levels of proficiency and different learning styles; attempt to be flexible in your teaching style to support every student.
Facilitate a learning climate that is open and non-threatening but nonetheless rigorous. The students should be comfortable enough to identify their difficulties openly, to challenge one another, and to admit when they "don't know."
Students may come up with questions that you may not be prepared for. Answer them to the best of your ability but do not furnish any information that is not correct or is misleading and may lead to misconceptions.
Get familiar with the learning objectives of both the class and the course as a whole. Go through and adhere to the course outline, the teacher guide, and any other if provided.
Encourage critical thinking and ensure that the student' knowledge is challenged and probed through rich tasks.
Share the class notes after the class that can be shared with the parents.
Tone and Conduct
Do not attempt to discuss, counsel, or tutor a student on any matter outside of the course, including but not limited to sharing personal opinions on religion and politics. Inform SplashLearn whenever you feel that there is something that needs to be brought to the parent's attention.
Use positive comments and encouraging statements throughout your responses to students' questions. Refrain from using confrontational, harsh, or sarcastic tone of language.
Always reply as thought the student's question is very important. The student should feel as though you want to help them. If you find your session is coming to a close, do not say you don't have time to respond, but instead, do the best you can with the time allotted to respond as meaningful as possible.
Always ask/invite students to come back with more questions.
If a student is facing difficulty in participating in the session due to technical difficulties, try to help them to the best of your ability, seek help wherever necessary.
The classes are meant to be conducted for 45 minutes - 1 hour. Do not end the class before 45 minutes. If you are done with the content, make the children practice.
