Fraction Ninja: Master 3rd Grade Fractions
Grade 3 Level | Option of 2 & 3 Classes a Week
Courses starting every Monday and Thursday
This comprehensive course of fractions covers all about fractions starting from building a strong conceptual base, to more advanced concepts like equivalent fractions, fractions on a number line and also comparing fractions.
Using real-life contexts of fractions, students will develop all the necessary skills necessary to deal with fractions in daily life.
The course is perfect for students looking for a refresher course of fractions or even for those who are new to the world of fractions.
Students often have a difficult time understanding fractions. In this lesson, students will understand the need for fractions and related fractions to equal parts of a whole.
Students will take their understanding of fractions to the next level by identifying fractions represented by visual models. They will also work on creating their own models for the given fractions.
In this lesson students will understand and work on linear representation of fraction using number lines.
Students will work on comparing fractions of the same whole by reasoning about their size. This lesson uses visual models to build a solid foundation. Students will also compare fractions with same numerators and denominators.
This lesson goes deeper into comparison of fractions. Students will order more than two fractions by their magnitude. This deeper exploration is meant to give students an intuitive understanding of fractions and the quantity they represent
Equivalence of fractions is an important stepping stone towards future success and mastery with fraction arithmetic. Students will use visual models to reason if two fractions represent the same quantity.
This lesson takes forward the understanding of equivalent fractions. Students will use number lines divided in different ways to determine if two fractions are equivalent.
This lesson is all about connecting the understanding of fractions to real world applications. Students will solve a variety of mathematically rich word problems involving fractions.

Our math tutors are certified educators with years of teaching experience. Each of them has been hand-picked for their innovative teaching styles, the ability to tailor their lessons according to different learning needs, and their main superpower - making math fun.
The classes will be conducted on the specific topics independently of the progress in school. Math tutor will therefore not be able to assist your child with their homework.
Our tutors are capable of keeping the children engaged and learning on their own. Most parents attend just the first class and prefer to let their child learn independently for the rest of the course.
Yes, you will need a computer or tablet with a webcam, mic, and speakers to attend the classes. Also, remember to keep a whiteboard and marker (or blank sheets and pen) handy for practice during the class.
Your child's safety and privacy is our primary concern. We do not collect any personal information and all our tutors go through a rigorous background verification process. Our classes are completely safe for your child.
Each class is around 45-minutes long. Sometimes if the tutor needs more time to wrap up what they’re teaching, it can take a few minutes longer.
The first class of your course is free. We will charge your card 24 hours after the first class. If you cancel before this, no money will be deducted from your account. If you wish to stop the course at any point, you will get charged only for the number of classes attended and we will refund the remaining amount.
You can go ahead and cancel your course by visiting - My Account > Billing > Subscriptions
The course topics are designed to fit within the number of classes mentioned for every course. If due to an unforeseen event classes need to be extended beyond the original schedule, the tutor will conduct the remaining classes free of charge. Parents will be informed through email about such events.
